“Nature always wears the colors of the spirit”.

The Bristol Art Museum (BAM) in partnership with Rogers Free Library (RFL) invites you to create artwork which envisions and defines the impact made by a dash of light and a splash of color on a largely monotone image. Choose one or two tones of a background color, then spin the wheel and enliven your palate with a contrasting color.
“If you see a tree as blue, then make it blue” Paul Gauguin On View May 13 - July 10, 2024 Drawings, paintings, printmaking, collage, fiber arts or photography accepted. (No 3D works, e.g. sculpture will be accepted for this exhibit)
Submission fee: Members: $20 for one submission/$30 for two submissions. Non Members: $25 for one submission/$40 for two submissions. Payment by credit card. Artists must submit application online with uploaded photo of each submission at the Bristol Art Museum website by April 22, 2024.

About our Juror: Kristin S. Street received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Textile Design from The Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Fine Arts degree from The Maryland Institute College of Art, specializing in Sculpture and Studio Art. She has served as an Arts educator at Moses Brown School, Rhode Island School of Design and Maryland Institute College of Art as well as founding and directing the Krause Gallery. In 2010 Kristin established The Mill Gallery within the Lorraine Mill Arts complex in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. This exhibition space has become a hub for artistic expression and is now home to the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative. |
